Mission
A multi-cultural, multi-generational volunteer-led creator coalition supporting New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani. Creators for Zohran is a case study for integrating new media into campaign strategy, meeting creators and candidates where they’re at. The coalition has proved that integrating a new media strategy to support campaigns yields more favorable results when that strategy is specifically developed for creators by creators; additionally, that a campaign grows momentum not by employing different digital media tools, methods and strategies, at the core it’s about the message.

About Us
Creators for Zohran was co-founded by Aidan Kohn-Murphy and Alexis Williams as a multi-cultural, multi-generational volunteer-led creator coalition supporting New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani. It was an idea that was born from Kohn-Murphy and Williams’ desire to get more creators involved in uplighting Zohran Mamdani’s campaign while giving them the tools, resources and access to communicate his message and drive New Yorkers to act for the campaign in one of two ways:
- Creating and executing a voting plan. Encouraging their circle to do the same.
- Signing up for the grassroots volunteering opportunities with the campaign like canvassing, phonebanking, and attending rallies in order to exponentially expand our impact.
